Happy Thanksgiving!

Simon loved his first Thanksgiving. He was a fantastic sous chef and even helped with the baking. He didn't get to eat any turkey, but loved his rice cereal and even fed himself. He can't wait for turkey next year.

Simon's Dad made him a pilgrim hat to help him get in the spirit of the holiday. Too cute!

Simon and his Dad were quite the fashionistas in their matching argyle sweaters. Love it!

Our lives have certainly changed since Thanksgiving last year. It was very fun to go around the table and talk about what we were thankful for this year. The funniest part was when Nonna asked Dennie what he was thankful for. Without skipping a beat he said, "More Cookies". It was hilarious!
We are so thankful to have our little man in our lives this year. He truly is a blessing and we are loving every minute with him. We can't wait to see how much he has changed at Thanksgiving next year!

Simon is 5 Months old!

Dear Simon,

I know I say it every month, but time is truly flying! It has flown so much that you are already 5 1/2 months as I write this post.
Your personality is so cute and funny. You love to imitate people around you whether we are making noises or faces. Every time your Daddy raises his eyebrows you laugh hysterically. You also went through a phase this month where you laughed hysterically at Nonna's dog Casey. You still think he is very cool, but not quite as funny.

You went swimming for the first time this month! We spent a weekend with your Aunties (we missed you Gabrielle!) and cousins and Nonna in the Wisconsin Dells for your big cousin Will's birthday. We had a great time. The water park was a little noisy for you with all of the echo, but I know you are going to be a water baby.

You continue to love your rice cereal. While you are eating you really love to hold the spoon yourself. I think you wish you could eat grown up food with us.
You also went with Mommy to the voting booth. We are trying to teach you to perform your civic duties early. You were a real hit with the election volunteers too.

Fall has been flying by and we are looking forward to seeing you enjoying the holidays. Halloween was a big hit and it really helps you to see your big cousins as they show you the ropes.
You are truly the light of our lives. We love you more everyday and can't believe how lucky we are to have you.
Love Always,
Mommy
