Happy New Year!

We had a lovely evening celebrating the New Year with our family and the Upchurch family.  Lots of dancing (and wine) and the kids loved the hats!
2013 was an amazing year for us.  Little Dylan joined us about halfway through and it passed by too quickly.  We are so blessed that every year just keeps getting better and better for us and 2014 will be no exception!

Our little Mick Jagger! (with Monka of course)

Zoo Lights

Every year, the Lincoln Park Zoo has a light festival.  We love to go walk around and see the lights.  This year, we met the Oppenheimer family which was great because  Simon and Matthew had a blast together!

Dylan is 7 Month Old!

Dear Dylan,
You are such a big boy!  You are sitting up like a big boy and we can tell you are almost ready to crawl.  You loved having your family visiting from Colorado.  Watching the big boys play is more exciting to you than any toy we own.
You absolutely love the roll around in your walker.  The minute you see or hear the dishwasher open, you speed right over to try to pull out the dishes.

You loved your first Christmas as well.  Of course you were more interested in the boxes and wrapping paper than the actual toys, but that is normal.  You continue to be the most smiley baby we have every seen.  Everyone remarks on how happy and easy going you are.  We know how lucky we are to have a wonderfully easy baby like you!
We love you always!

Fun at the Field Museum

Nonna and Mommy took the four boys to the Field Museum for an adventure.  It was so great!  The boys studied their maps carefully to decide where to go, but it was not a hard decision.  Dinosaurs!

It was a very fun day and the boys loved learning about dinosaur fossils.  Once again, Dylan was happy to watch the boys and can't wait until he can participate!

Happy Birthday Stefan

We were happy to go bowling for Stefan's birthday the day after Christmas.  These boys love to bowl and they all got balloon animals which ended up being quite entertaining.  Dylan slept through most of it, but was happy to look around at all of the excitement when he did wake up.

Dylan hopes that he will be able to bowl next time too!

Santa Came to Visit

Christmas morning was extra magical this year because Santa came to visit our house on his way back to the North Pole.  The boys woke up early, tore through their presents and were lucky enough to get one more sweet treat from Santa when he arrived.  We were so thrilled to be able to share this special time with our family.

Christmas Eve and the cousins arrive

On Christmas Eve our family arrived from Colorado.  As usual, the boys were thrilled to be together.  They headed straight for the He-Man collection that Grandma Lin sent us from when Daddy was little.  Dylan was anxious to play with the big boys as well.  As has become a family tradition, Nonna read 'Twas The Night Before Christmas to all of the boys.  The evening was filled with happiness and anticipation for what was coming the next day...........
