Happy Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving with our family.   This year we are most thankful to have to our two happy and healthy boys.  Mommy was also thankful to have the day off from cooking since Aunt Jennifer made the meal.  We did make a pumpkin cheesecake and Simon was happy to help with the baking.  Once again, Dylan would have loved to eat the meal with the rest of us and Simon did not eat any of the meal.
We missed our out of town family, but we are thankful to have today's technology to stay connected to them with Skype and Face Time.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Dylan is 6 months old!

Dear Dylan,
My little baby is not so little anymore!  It is so hard to believe that six months has already gone by.  I say it all the time, but it seems like you have always been here and we know that you were meant to be here.
You roll over with ease and love to play on your little activity mat.  You really want to move and love your walker.  You really love anything that brings you closer to being a big boy.  You started taking baths in the big bath tub this month and you absolutely love it and love to splash.
You are interested in all kinds of food.  When anyone around you is eating, your little eyes follow the food as if saying "give it to me!"  Soon enough you'll be eating solids.
Simon is still your preferred method of entertainment.  Once he realizes that you think he is so hilarious, we are going to be in big trouble.  The two of you are going to be a real pair of jokers.
You like to sit up (with support) or in a seat or stroller and look around.  You are so observant and love to see what is going on in the world around you.
You have the most incredible blue eyes and you use them to charm everyone around you.  Between your constant smiling and your gorgeous eyes, you get a lot of attention when you meet people.
We love everyday with you, my angel.

Love,
Mommy

Our little helper

Simon has been very interested in cooking and baking lately.  We got him a special step stool so that he can reach the counter and help out.  One of these days, we're certain it will help him start to eat some new foods.  In the meantime, we appreciate the help.

Thanks for the bath Nonna

Dylan loves when Nonna gives him a bath.  He also loves having his feet free to stick in his mouth!

Dylan loves his walker

Dylan loves to spend time in his walker.  He is ready to be a big boy and this helps him get into more trouble.   He just wants to go faster and faster.  We are thrilled that it makes him happy and he is just as smiley as ever.

The Greatest Show on Earth

Simon and Mommy went to see the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.  It was a wonderful show and Simon was so excited.  He was particularly happy to see the elephants and talked about it for a long time after.  I was somehow convinced to buy him a light up sword which was also a highlight.  He watched the show intently with a lot of "oohing" an "aahing " and he often got up to clap and dance during the show.  We can't wait to go back and again when Dylan is big enough to join us.

Happy Birthday Dennie!

We were lucky enough to be in Colorado for Dennie's 5th birthday party.  They had his party at home with an awesome bounce house and the best face painter I have ever seen.  Dylan would loved to have bounced and had his face painted, but he'll have to wait a while for that.  In the meantime, he had fun watching and he got to meet our good friend Patti for the first time.

Fun with Cousins and Dylan's first swim

We went to the pool in Colorado with the cousins.  As usual, the bigger boys had a blast and were hilarious.  The big surprise was how much Dylan loved the water.  He could have stayed in the pool all day.  His entire body lunged forward and he kicked is arms and legs out at the same time.  Beyond the excitement of swimming, he also loved watching the big boys play.  It was a blast!
