Baby Beluga

On Christmas Eve, we had quite an eventful day.   We spent the morning at Lurie Children's Hospital having an ultra sound on Dylan because the doctor had detected a heart murmur.  They quickly told us it was an "innocent" murmur just like Daddy and Grandma Lin have.  After the ultra sound, we headed over to the Shedd Aquarium to meet out great friends Dan, Jenny and Carter Wolf.  Our favorite animal to see at the Shedd is the Beluga whale. Every day before nap and every night before bed, Mommy sings the Raffi song "Baby Beluga" to both boys.  So, this adorable whale has a special meaning to all of us.

  

We went to the Beluga and Dolphin show which was holiday themed including a flying Santa!  It was  a very lovely day.

Simon and Mommy went ice skating on a very cold night so we had the whole rink to ourselves.  It was such a fun time!

Dylan's First Time in the Snow

Dylan thought it was great to be in the snow!  He would have loved to crawl around like crazy, but was not quite ready for that.  Needless to say, it was a short playtime but he did love it.

First Snow!

 We had the first snow!  Simon was so excited to bring most of his fleet of trucks and shovels outside to dig and play in the snow.  He absolutely loved making snow angels as well!
